"ZruckGschaut" - Geisenfeld wie's früher war
Der Marienplatz um 1919
Einen Eindruck, wie die Geisenfelder Innenstadt einst aussah, vermittelt diese Aufnahme kurz nach dem Ende des Ersten Weltkriegs. Am linken Rand ist das frühere Rathaus zu sehen, im Hintergrund der Marktplatz mit der Bebauung entlang der Hauptstraße.
Das Gebäude links mit dem Uhrturm war damals ein wichtiger Mittelpunkt des öffentlichen Lebens. Die Aufnahme zeigt eine Zeit des Umbruchs und Wiederaufbaus nach dem Krieg.

At the time, the building on the left with its clock tower was an important focal point of public life. The photograph captures a period of upheaval and reconstruction following the war.
